Team Tania--in 1999 we were 6 friends and family members of Tania Kincaid, the only person we knew with a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. We rode in the 19th annual MS150 City to Shore Bike Tour, the longest bike ride any of us had ever done before, and raised money along the way to aid in the fight against MS.
In 2007, a team of 326 cycled for Team Tania and dozens of others supported us as team volunteers and sponsors. And while Tania and her name bring us together as a team, we ride for hundreds of people with MS who have personally touched our lives over the years, and for thousands of people across the region who are battling the devastating effects of MS.
Who are we? Yes, we are people who have the capacity to ride a bike 50, 75, 100 miles in a day but we are weekend athletes at best. We are hardworking nurses, engineers, businesspersons, moms, dads, sons and daughters....we hail from South Jersey and Pennsylvania but have had teammates from as far away as Singapore! We come together each year as the community of Team Tania, single-minded in our ambition to beat MS.
